About Me - Cassandra Hoffman

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

My name is Cassandra, and I’m a passionate and dedicated Birth/Postpartum Doula and Mother’s Blessing Facilitator here to support you through your pregnancy, birth, and early parenting journey.

Whether you're preparing for birth, navigating postpartum recovery, or seeking a special way to honor your transition into motherhood, I’m committed to providing you with the emotional, physical, and informational support you need.

I believe in empowering families through compassionate individualized care, and I’m here to help you feel confident, supported, and prepared every step of the way.

My Journey to Becoming a Doula

Why I Chose This Path:

My journey in postpartum support began a few years ago when a close friend of mine had a very traumatic experience with her birth. When hearing her story, I knew I wanted to support her and support others who have experienced postpartum struggles.

My birth doula journey started with the birth of my baby girl. I hired a birth doula at recommendation from my midwife and I am so glad I did. I had planned to have a water birth and unfortunately that did not go to plan. I had a long, difficult labor that ended in c-section because my baby got stuck. Even though my birth did not go to plan, I feel that with the support of my doula it was still an incredibly empowering and positive experience.

I hope to provide the same level of emotional support and encouragement my clients as well.

My Qualifications:

While certification is not required to become a doula, I’ve always believed in the importance of expanding my knowledge and skills to better serve my clients. After several years of providing emotional and spiritual support through postpartum care, I recognized the need to formalize my training and certification. This is why I am currently working towards certification through the International Doula Institute in Birth Doula Support, Postpartum Doula Support, Certified Childbirth Education, and Certified Breastfeeding Counseling.

In addition to my doula certifications, I am also committed to ongoing education in holistic health. I am currently taking courses in holistic health and nutrition, naturopathy, and herbalism. I believe that a well-rounded approach—encompassing both traditional and holistic practices—can offer invaluable support to families as they navigate this exciting (and sometimes overwhelming) journey.

What I Love About This Work:

I truly love being able to support families in these growing years. Being able to empower new mothers to have confidence in what their bodies are capable of, whether that's through birth or navigating postpartum and breastfeeding, I believe every mother deserves to hear that they're doing great.

My approach to doula work is centered around personalized care, where your individual needs, values, and desires come first. I believe in empowering families with knowledge, helping you to make informed decisions about your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience. Whether you need emotional support, physical assistance, or guidance on newborn care or breastfeeding, I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way.

"She was such a great doula she made sure she made me feel heard and supported, answered all my questions and concerns. Always came to help me even though she had a baby herself. She helped me with pregnancy, postpartum and breastfeeding support and I didn’t feel alone at all. I recommend her to all my friends and family and my sister"
